AT THE PILOT
Here at The Pilot, we offer 3 fantastic lunch choices, as well as our usual Main Menu, every Sunday. Be sure to try one on your next visit!
Meads is a pretty village on the western edge of Eastbourne, nestled at the foot of the South Downs above the beautiful Holywell beach, offering a variety of shops, cafes and restaurants in a relaxed and friendly setting. Eastbourne town centre, with its wealth of theatres, art galleries, shops, international tennis, airshow and famous pier, is a mere five-minute drive away, meaning you will never be short of things to see and do.
Here at The Pilot Inn we pride ourselves on locally sourced fresh ingredients. Our meat is supplied by J.Heath & Son family butchers and includes locally reared beef from Bullock Down Farm, Beachy Head. Our seafood is supplied fresh from Beachy Head Fishing Company; both are within a few minutes of our location.
“Staying with our friends in Eastbourne for the weekend I asked to get booked in for Sunday Lunch. Well having not been before what a find this was. Really friendly smiley staff alround with a good selection of ale and the lunch, wow, that beef was just superb as was the rest of the meal and excellent value for money. Rest assured we will be there again but sadly not till August for airborne. Thanks to all and that includes the folks in the kitchen."
“We’ve been in twice for lunch after walking our dog on the downs. Both times we’ve got chatting to other dog lovers. It’s very friendly.” DH (38) “We had our work do in the restaurant. The food, atmosphere and service were all excellent. Definitely coming here again.”
“We come here after choir rehearsals. It’s easy to push a few tables together to accommodate a big group. The staff are very obliging.”
“The last time I came here there was a band singing 70s and 80s covers. The whole pub was singing along and dancing. It was brilliant.”
